2.2 Employment Classification

Employees of Moonah Health fall into the following classifications:

  • Full-Time Employees: Those working 30+ hours per week.
  • Part-Time Employees: Those working fewer than 30 hours per week.
  • Contractors/Independent Practitioners: Healthcare professionals contracted on a telehealth basis, providing patient care under Moonah Health’s guidelines.

2.3 Probationary Period

All new employees and independent contractors will undergo a 90-day probationary period, during which performance and adherence to company guidelines will be evaluated.

  1. Work Environment and Expectations

3.1 Remote Work Policy

Moonah Health operates primarily through telehealth, and all staff are expected to maintain a professional environment while working remotely. This includes:

  • Maintaining Privacy: Conduct telehealth appointments in a secure and private environment.
  • Technology Requirements: Employees must have access to reliable internet, secure devices, and the necessary software to perform their duties.
  • Work Hours: Although remote, employees must adhere to their assigned schedules and be available during set work hours.

3.2 Attendance and Punctuality

Timely attendance is crucial to providing excellent care. Employees and contractors are expected to:

  • Log in on time for telehealth appointments.
  • Notify their supervisor of any anticipated absences at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Use the company’s leave management system to request time off.
  1. Compensation and Benefits

4.1 Compensation

  • Salary: Salaries are paid semi-monthly via direct deposit.
  • Contractor Compensation: Independent practitioners are compensated based on the number of consultations performed, following the rate structure agreed upon in their contract.

4.2 Benefits

  • Full-Time Employees: Eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of employment.
  • Part-Time Employees: Eligible for select benefits depending on hours worked.
  • Contractors: Are responsible for securing their own insurance and benefits but may be eligible for participation in Moonah Health’s professional development programs.
  1. Confidentiality and Compliance

5.1 Patient Confidentiality

All employees and contractors must adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient information. This includes:

  • Secure Communication: Only use secure platforms and software approved by Moonah Health for communicating with patients.
  • Access Control: Ensure that only authorized personnel have access to patient records.
  • Training: Regular HIPAA compliance training will be provided and is mandatory for all employees.

5.2 Medical Compliance

All practitioners must adhere to federal, state, and local laws governing the practice of medicine. This includes:

  • Maintaining valid licenses in the states where they practice.
  • Adhering to the Moonah Health clinical guidelines for telehealth services, including Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) protocols and patient management procedures.
  1. Performance and Professional Development

6.1 Performance Evaluations

Employees and contractors will receive annual performance reviews based on their:

  • Quality of patient care.
  • Adherence to company guidelines and policies.
  • Contribution to company goals.

6.2 Continuing Education and Development

Moonah Health encourages ongoing professional development. Full-time employees are eligible for a yearly stipend to be used for continuing education and certification. Independent contractors are encouraged to pursue educational opportunities to stay current with healthcare advancements.

7.1 Professionalism

All employees and contractors are expected to maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with patients, colleagues, and supervisors. This includes:

  • Respectful communication, both verbal and written.
  • Punctuality for meetings and patient appointments.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance when on video calls.

7.2 Conflict of Interest

Employees must avoid conflicts of interest that could compromise their duties at Moonah Health. This includes:

  • Disclosing any personal or financial interests in competitors.
  • Avoiding personal relationships with patients that could interfere with the professional care relationship.
  1. Harassment and Discrimination

8.1 Anti-Harassment Policy

Moonah Health is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment. Harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment, is strictly prohibited.

8.2 Reporting Procedures

If an employee or contractor experiences or witnesses harassment or discrimination, they are encouraged to report it to Human Resources immediately. Reports will be handled confidentially and thoroughly investigated.

9.1 Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Full-Time Employees: Accrue paid time off starting from their first day of employment. PTO can be used for vacation, sick leave, or personal time.

  1. Disciplinary Actions and Termination

11.1 Disciplinary Process

Failure to adhere to company policies or performance standards may result in disciplinary action, including:

  • Termination of employment.

11.2 Termination

Moonah Health reserves the right to terminate employment or contracts for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Failure to maintain professional standards.
  • Violations of HIPAA or other regulatory requirements.
  • Inappropriate behavior or misconduct.
